Summary: The Hotel Maintenance Technician will maintain the facility and ensures that the property is presented with quality and safety standards that exceed the guest’s expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs in public areas and kitchens including minor electrical, roofing, plumbing, HVAC etc. • Understands and adheres to the Hyatt values and service standards. • Ensure the safety of guests and associates. • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to guest and associate requests in a friendly and courteous manner. • Report major repair needs to Maintenance Supervisor. • Monitor and maintain all maintenance spaces in a safe, clean, organized, and energy efficient manner. • Handle and store hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations. • Monitor compliance of building safety codes, health and safety laws and other regulations; conduct walk-throughs to assess the safety and efficiency of equipment and maintenance of the property. • Familiar with hotel preventive maintenance (PM) work. • Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner and work order details are noted. • Perform any additional duties as requested by Leadership. • Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the Hotel. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. • Must have a minimum of (3) years of relevant maintenance experience. Hotel maintenance experience a plus. • Must have mechanical ability with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, machine servicing and repairs. • Must be pro-active and persistent in pursuing and completing tasks thoroughly. • Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner. • Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness). • Has attention to detail. • Is consistently striving to be better. • Ability to find the best solution in unclear situations or problems. • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. • Ability to prioritize work in order of importance. • Must be able to lift heavy items. • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. • Ability to work a flexible schedule. • Basic computer knowledge.
