Description
I have had Blue since she was a puppy. She is from Flint, MI. She was sold to me as a blue heeler/border collie mix however after doing a recent DNA test I found that she is actually a dalmatian/shetland shepherd. Blue has truly been my companion over the past 5 years and is a very sweet dog. My mom says she has human eyes and can see into your soul, quite often this feels true. We've gotten to the point where she needs more time and patience from someone other than myself. I currently work way too much and Blue is not getting the attention she truly needs. She is a very sweet and loving dog. She would do best in a house without other pets as she tends to require a lot of attention and has a strong herding instinct. She really enjoys hiking and playing tug o war. She generally prefers to be off leash and does have leash anxiety when on leash. She can at times become aggressive with other dogs when on walks. To avoid this, I generally take her for walks early in the morning or when there are less people/other dogs on hiking trails. She also has a huge fear of skateboarders. Recently, my roommate was taking her for a walk and she became reactive. He did try to calm her down and pin her, which resulted in him being bit on the arm. It did not break the skin but surely scared him and left some bruising. It would be best to use a muzzle when taking her on walks to avoid this potential reaction.
