If Trump was "in charge" as you claim, How come we still have the Affordable Care Act which Trump promised in his campaign that he would repeal and replace with some "beautiful" new package he never did even explain to anyone. And how come we still don't have a wall as he promised he would build (and as you mentioned get Mexico to pay for) How come the federal deficit he promised to eliminate through tax cuts to businesses (I know, insane, right?) went wildly higher and higher every year under Trump's insane spending even BEFORE COVID-19 hit. The deficit rose 60% during the Trump fiasco of an administration. How come the economic growth he promised would hit 4% NEVER ONCE hit the levels it had been under Obama's last 4 years? He promised to revive the coal industry. Coal jobs have continued a steep decline. He promised to end DACA. Never happened. He promised to bring jobs back to America from overseas. Jobs continued moving offshore all 4 years of his administration. You can make all the excuses you want but very few of his campaign promises were kept. If someone is truly "in charge" as you claim, things would have happened. Clearly, Trump was not in charge. He was loud. He was ignorant. He embarrassed America in front of our allies on every trip he made which is why he stopped making them. He was a fool who had no idea what he was doing.
