Drive Medical distribution in Dayton, NJ is looking to hire Warehouse Forklift Operators and Loaders. We are a leading manufacturer of medical products with a strong and consistent track record of growth achieved both organically and through acquisitions. Shifts: Monday through Friday: 1st shift 7:00am to 3:30pm, 2nd shift 3:30pm to 12:00am and Saturday and Sunday 7:00am to 5:30pm. Pay is $17.00 plus bonus and night differential for 2nd shift. Competitive Benefits, Paid Time Off, 401(k) Savings Plan If interested, please call or text Kim at 609-212-8134 To apply directly online, please visit: www.drivemedical.com Forklift Functions: • Ensure that a quality check is performed on all order papers. • Address any misprints, false quantities and closed carton orders. • Check merchandise in the storage area by verifying lot and item numbers. • Pull orders according to the RF scanner and recheck them to ensure accuracy. • Inspect items for quality and quantity and any evidence of dust, paint or dents. • Ensure that any product not up to the quality mark are reported to the floor supervisor. • Transport pulled items from the storage area to the shipment pallet by using moving equipment. • Wrap or box items according to instructions provided. • Pull off any old or not needed stickers from boxes and make sure that they are discarded properly. • Check for proper safety measures while working. • Develop an attitude of support and participate in an environment of continuous improvement. • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area. • Other duties may be assigned. Loader Functions: • Accurately loads trailers with customer orders. • Operates an electric pallet jack or pacer to load trailers. • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles. • Utilize equipment to properly wrap and secure product to pallets. • Record numbers of pallets handled or moved, using load manifest sheets to record trailers loaded. • Maintain the correctness of goods loading with order lists in hand. • Verify orders are complete prior to shipping. • Communicate the status of trucks with supervisors and other coordinators. • Use of banding machine to strap pallets to the pallets as needed. • Check for proper safety measures while working. • Develop an attitude and participate in an environment of continuous improvement. • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area. • Other duties may be assigned. Position requirements: • H. S. Diploma or equivalent • Read and speak English • Basic math skills • Basic computer skills, e.g. PC, MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), RF scanners • Able to use material movement equipment (e.g. cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) Preferred but not Required: • SAP or Warehouse Management System experience • UPS/FedEx processing/billing type of experience If interested, please call or text Kim at 609-212-8134 To view any of our other available positions, please visit: www.drivemedical.com Your Physical Demands/Work Environment: • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
