Mosquito & Tick Service Technician (Seasonal Mid April - Thru September) NJ Mosquito Patrol is a fast-growing, locally owned family business. We provide outdoor pest control services to our residential and commercial customers, eliminating and repelling outdoor pests such as Mosquitoes & Ticks. Job Description Field technicians provide outdoor pest control service to customer’s yards. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities • Visually inspect and treat for Mosquitoes & Ticks • Apply NJ Mosquito Patrol’s 14 day protective barrier treatment • Communicate to the customer the service expectations, procedures and make recommendations for reducing Mosquito & Tick activity. • Maintain chemical and operational records in accordance with state requirements • Keep a clean and well-organized service vehicle • Handle pesticides in accordance with state and federal regulations • Complete pesticide certification requirements and complete continuing education requirements if needed • Work outdoors during warm conditions for long periods of time. • The ability to carry a 60-pound back pack sprayer for long periods of time through wooded or uneven terrain. • Market the NJ Mosquito Patrol brand and services • Safely drive company vehicles to customers home. • Other duties as needed Education and Experience • Experience is PLUS, but no formal education required. The company will provide training and assist with obtaining required certifications. • Read, write and speak English proficiently. • Able to calculate liquid measurement. Working conditions • This is typically a full-time position Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM). Hours will depend on the season and may changes as operational needs dictate. • This position requires the employee to work outdoors and handle pesticides during the warm summer months. The employee will also be required to use and carry a 60-pound backpack while wearing, personal protective equipment, long sleeves and pants.
