Hi! Looking for someone mechanically savvy to help a noob get a bike back up and running after sitting for a few months. Carbureted bike and a huge pain in the butt. So far it has had the air filter replaced, carb rebuilt, spark plugs, fully charged battery, oil change, and new gas. (Yes, kickstand was up, petcock set to on position, and clutch in.) Started right up after the plugs and a little bit of starting fluid just a couple days ago but won’t now. It sounds like it really REALLY wants to and there’s some smoke coming out of the exhaust but just keeps cranking. I have a feeling it’s an easy fix but I’m just not seeing it, on account of being inexperienced. If you’re available today that would be great! If not, I’d still love to hear from you.
