How to brew coffee with a pour over and a tasting of 3 coffee growing regions with the chance to brew your favorite one yourself at the end. Black Sails Coffee is proud to present our "Introduction to Coffee Regions and the Pour Over Brewing Method" class led by our Award-Winning Roaster, Sean McCullough, and the renowned barista, David Godfrey. ⁣ ⁣ Join us as we guide you step by step through the process of brewing a pour over! Participants will learn everything needed in order to brew a proper pour over at home, including the proper weight ratio and the grind to use for their beans, the correct water temperatures and kettles to use, as well as a simple recipe and brewing techniques. ⁣ ⁣ After going through the brewing process, we'll then have a chance to taste three different coffee regions side by side that were each brewed using the pour over method. ⁣ ⁣ These three regions will include a Latin American coffee, an Indo-Pacific coffee, and an African coffee. Tasting these different coffees side by side will allow the class to identify the differences between the regions and to help them build their individual palates and confidence in tasting coffee.⁣ ⁣ At the end of the class, after choosing their favorite coffee from the three regions provided - participants will then use their favorite coffee to get hands on experience brewing their own pour over cup to take with them and enjoy!
