Tuesday at the Pond presents DK and The Affordables , June 15. Brought to you by the Los Alamos Creative District. Join the Los Alamos Creative District as we bring to you live, in-person music at Ashley Pond Stage . This is a free event, but you must have a ticket to enter as we are still operating under New Mexico Covid Safe Practices. This event is limited to 150 people, groups of up to 6 people, still social distancing of no less than 3 ft., and those not vaccinated are expected to wear a mask Green Chile fueled Southwestern Vintage Rock n Roll! DK & The Affordables kick out a jiving, jumping variety of roots music that is intended to get you moving and inspire goodwill amongst the sexes. Gyrating, swinging bodies topped by smiling faces have accompanied many an Affordables show. Couple all of that with twangy guitar, a ripping rhythm section, greasy hair, and some pointy boots and you've got yourself a hootenanny of a good time! DK & The Affordables have established themselves as a go to act for Northern New Mexican entertainment. They have backed 9 time Grammy winner Jim Lauderdale, the "Ultimate Elvis", Justin Shandor, country artist Kerry Wallace, and Colombia's original Rockabilly star, Phil Rocker. They have shared the stage with Los Straitjackets, Leftover Salmon, Junior Brown, Eddie Clendening, The Rocketz, Three Bad Jacks and Speedbuggy U.S.A. to name but a few. DK & The Affordables have become regulars for many festivals in the Southwestern United States and look forward to entertaining in each and every performance.
