Salem To Raise Pride Flags At Riley Plaza Ceremony

SALEM, MA — Salem residents and the North Shore community is invited to Riley Plaza on June 3 for a Pride flag-raising ceremony in support of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month in the city. The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. and is open to the public. Isabella Strobing donated the flags for this year's event, which will continue the tradition behind Salem resident and LGBTQ activist Gary "Gigi" Gill. The event is intended to bring people together to raise the flags to celebrate Salem's proud diversity. There will be a brief speaking program before the raising of the flags.
