Information via City of Stamford STAMFORD, CT— There are several events going on around Stamford over the next week. The Ferguson Library and Darien Library Present an evening with Bestselling Author Chris Bohjalian in conversation with Cristina Alger. This is a virtual event on Thursday, May 20 at 6 p.m. Click here to register. Ferguson Library is celebrating the reopening of their South End Brand on Saturday, May 22 from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony will have book giveaways, ice cream and more. The Stamford Department of Health will also be hosting a pop up Johnson & Johnson vaccine event at their nearby clinic at 137 Henry St. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stamford Mental Health And Wellness virtual summit, sponsored by the Stamford Youth Services Bureau, is on Thursday, May 27 from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Learn about the Mental Health and wellness support services available throughout Stamford and connect with other community members. For more details, click here The Stamford Recycling and Sanitation Department, partnering with HELPSY – the largest clothing collection company in the Northeast, will be hosting a Clothing Drive and Recycling Collection event on June 5 at the Scofield Yard Recycling Center located at 55 Rock Rimmon Rd. in Stamford. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additional recycling events are also being planned for July 10, Aug. 7, and Sept. 11.
