They were all heavily influenced by the members of Toto, who were themselves the kings of the LA recording scene in the 70’s and 80’s. “We were always jamming on Toto songs in between takes in the studio. Eventually we realized we ought to give everyone an opportunity to enjoy this music as much as we do. That’s why Child’s Anthem was formed. Above all, the songs are incredibly fun to play. The response to the band has been very gratifying.” You can’t have a Toto tribute band without someone to sing Bobby Kimball’s demanding lead vocals. Child’s Anthem is fortunate to have Keith Landry on board. He toured and sang with Toto in their prime in the 1980’s. That’s as authentic as it gets! The rest of the band’s passion for the music and technical expertise is equally impressive. Child’s Anthem brings to life the entire range of Toto’s music - from sweeping ballads to R&B to screaming rock songs.
