Press release from the Milford Mayor's Office: May 20, 2021 As the recipient of the award for the Mayor's Employee of the Month Program, please join us in extending a warm congratulation to Cathy in receiving this recognition. After a review of all of the nominations, the Selection Committee unanimously chose her as the winner for her teamwork, dedicated service, and outstanding customer service. Cathy was initially hired as a seasonal temporary employee with the City of Milford in August 2008. On March 8, 2010, she began full-time in her current position as a Library Assistant in the Reference Department. As the Library Assistant in the Reference Department, Cathy is responsible for managing the Periodical subscriptions and is the Library liaison to the Downtown Milford Business Association. Responsible for the Inter-library loan service, Cathy participates in state-wide discussion groups to stay informed regarding best practices and trends of Inter-library loans. With Cathy's love for happily ever after, she heads up a popular romance book discussion group. Cathy is a skillful multi-tasker who is always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. Her desire to help others, her professionalism, and courteous manner are evident daily through her interactions with co-workers and Library patrons alike. These are just a few of the many reasons the Mayor extends his sincere congratulations and appreciation to Cathy for the outstanding attributes she exhibits as Employees of the Month.
