Let's Go Outdoors is offering FREE Walks along the Wingohocking Creek on Awbury Arboretum's property while doing fun activites!
Let's Go Outdoors is excited to lead you on this one-of-a-kind walk along a portion of the Wingohocking Creek located on Awbury Arboretum's property. Enthusiastic educators will not only do fun activities during your walk, they will also share little-known information about the creek and how Philadelphia Water Department has worked to daylight this section for people to see and learn about. There is no cost for attending this program. You will be traversing various types of terrain (mulch, pavement, grass, etc.,) so wear appropriate footwear. There are no public restrooms available during this walk so plan accordingly.
NOTE: Park at/along 6336 Ardleigh Street and meet at the Street Entrance to "The Farm at Awbury" - look for an LGO Educator
During each 60-minute walk, you will:
Receive an introduction to the walk and/or associated activity for the day (ex.
