Seeking small house / large apartment to rent, private party only

Greetings.  I moved to Bel Air last July and love the area, just don't like the management company that ruins, er, runs the complex that I live in plus the urban sprawl / traffic / noise of Bel Air South / Emmorton.  Looking for a better situation renting from a private party, preferably in the more rural area near Jarrettsville  or along the Maryland Line along the MD-23 / MD 439 corridor. Small cottage / bungalow house with a garage would be perfect or a large-ish 2 BR apartment.  I have a lot of hand and power tools that I use for work and play to store. Will be moving weekend of July 24 - 25 (current lease ends 7/25) so I have some time to look around.  Any leads would be appreciated. I'm a SWM, 60 y/o, employed, no other family members, no pets.
