Men Charged In Elmhurst Road Rage Incident: Cops

ELMHURST, IL — Two men were cited in a road rage incident earlier this week in north Elmhurst, police said. Andrei Smahon, 38, of Elmhurst, and Stephen E. Barba, 44, of Bensenville, were charged with disorderly conduct. Smahon was also charged with damage to property. About 8:30 a.m. Monday, the two men got into a fight at York Street and Wrightwood Avenue, according to a police report. Barba yelled at Smahon and approached him aggressively, holding a caulking gun, police said. Smahon attempted to close Barba's car door on him, causing a dent in the door, the report said.
