ELMHURST, IL — A man tackled someone in an Elmhurst office and then threatened that person with a hammer earlier this week, police said. Chong H. An, 52, of Schaumburg, was arrested Monday on charges of assault and battery. He was released on bond. About 2:30 pm., he entered into an office at 188 Industrial Drive and tackled a person to the ground, according to a police report. He then went into another office, returned with a hammer and attempted to strike the victim with the tool, the report said. In addition to the charges, he was served with a no-trespass notice.
