Description
Kiwi is a large green iguana who's owner is leaving the state for several years and can't take pets to the school he is going to. Kiwi is in good health, though when he was younger, he hurt his tail trying to go after a dog and had to have the tip amputated by the vet. That was a couple years ago and he has healed up well. He is about 4 years old. His personality is aloof - alpha, and he could use some more time with people than what he gets now. His enclosure is about 6ft tall, a little over 4ft wide, and about 3ft deep with abundant varied light fixtures and a humidistat/humidifier and is available to come with him. Transport of this can be assisted as it is large and was expensive to build.
If you are new to lizards, Kiwi may not be for you (iguanas don't generally make good "novice" pets).
If you are educated to the care of iguanas, Mr. Kiwi is one major cool animal and could use some attention. He loves his perch, collards, Dandelion greens, sweet peppers and strawberries. He tolerates shredded carrots and other veggies that are good for his health, but collards, sweet peppers, and strawberry/raspberry are favs!
We want to place him in a good home and therefore request that only those experienced with iguanas contact us.
