This entire process is handled by participating beverage distributors and retailers at no cost to the taxpayer. We pick up from over 2,700 retailers and recycle millions of containers a day.   GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Operate a cube van truck on a specific route to service OBRC accounts in handling the pick-up and transporting of deposit/refund beverage containers. QUALIFICATIONS Valid class C driver license and good driving record. Pass company drug screen prior to employment in this position. Ability to get along with people in stressful situations. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day. Must not pose a direct safety threat to himself/herself or others. ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS Maintain personal appearance consistent with OBRC Management expectations. Arrive on time for every scheduled workday. Conduct yourself in a professional manner in both attitude and appearance. Perform pre-trip inspections on cube van truck. Safely and courteously operate a vehicle and all equipment, including pallet jacks, hand carts, lift gates, dock plates, load locks, etc. Know product information - items we collect, proper sorting of product, which products are handled by which distributor. Proper product preparation including marking of bags, building of pallets and product groupings. Proper preparation of drafts, accurate counts, accurate and legible math. Proper loading of trucks, insuring that all items paid for are loaded, load is properly secured and that bags are "layered" in the truck. Completion of weekly tasks in allotted amount of time. Understanding company operations. Know what happens to product when it reaches the plant, can explain adjustment process to retailers and knows the company organization to find sources for answers. Knowledge of "co-mingle", can explain it to retailers, advise retailers on advantages of co-mingle and how to set up co-mingle sort area.   PAY & BENEFITS Full-time, Hourly Pay Rate Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance/401(k) with company match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays
