Looking for a companion dog for this little guy!!

Hi a have rat terrier mix mutt named Sousa. He is around two years old. He loves other dogs but is extremely hyper and mouthy when meeting a new dog which makes it nearly impossible for him to make friends. He is not at all aggressive. Very loved and spoiled. I am looking to take in a second dog to be both of our new companion. I am looking to take in a dog that needs a home not shop (I am browsing shelters as well of course). I am not particular on breed or size. Just would prefer a dog that’s not a senior considering my dog is still young. I would want them to meet in person to make sure the other dog does not become aggressive with my pup considering he is very hyper at first and quite small. I know he can be a little much for most dogs but he does chill out eventually. Text
