Key Position for Warehouse Loader – (Produce) - SEASONAL FULL TIME Forklift Loaders are the key to ensuring all pallets are loaded in proper sequence, at the right temperature control, and on the right truck Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Experience with hi-lo/forklift or pallet jack vehicles is preferred Experience in warehouse / distribution is highly preferred but not required Ability to lift 25-85 pounds per case as part of this job Pull full boxes of produce from top line, about shoulder high level (20 lbs. avg. up to 40 lbs.) Ability to lower to line boxes at waist height (20 lbs. avg. up to 40 lbs.) Ongoing repetitive movements throughout entire shift. Requires constant bending and lifting. Other projects and duties as assigned. Ability to work a flexible schedule and long hours as needed. Other skills and abilities needed for this job: Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs or pallet jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions). Must be able to work independently or within a team environment. Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations. Work Environment: The employee is required to work in a packinghouse setting, which includes but is not limited to packing, grading, cooling and office areas. Temperatures varying from 38 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but the employee may be exposed to loud industrial equipment, machinery, moving mechanical parts, and vibration when performing the various job responsibilities.
