Description
I’m a long time band member, waylaid by the pandemic, looking to get back into music by starting a smaller project. I’m looking to start an acoustic duo to begin with, and potentially expand down the line. Ideally, I’d like to add some sax/horns at some point. For now though, I think finding a percussionist is the priority. I’d like to find a Cajon or bongo player to keep time and add their own flavor and rhythm. I’m not opposed to a full kit down the line, it just seems overkill for a duo. Vocals, either lead or harmony, would be a big plus.
I’d like to play a large variety of styles and decades, from 50s tunes, to Creedence, the Beatles, Tom Petty, The Band, Jimmy Buffett, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Bob Marley, John Mellencamp, SRV and blues, to more modern Americana and stuff like Chris Stapleton, Cody Jinks, Tyler Childers, Nathaniel Rateliff, Marcus King and many others. I like to bring energy and passion to the upbeat songs and emotion and power to the slower ones. I love rhythm.
Eventually, I’d like to play maybe 10-12 gigs/ year and hopefully entertain with our unique take, energy and arrangements.
I’m a family man with a full time job and no drug or alcohol issues. I’m looking for like-minded people. Looking forward to responses!
