JOB DESCRIPTION We are a growing restoration company looking to add a hardworking, friendly individual to our moving & contents cleaning team. We are looking for someone familiar with managing/supervising packouts, moving, content cleaning after fires, biohazard losses, water losses and more. We are looking to add someone to oversee employee training and betterment, quality control on all contents jobs, manage/help with pack-outs and content cleaning losses, estimate and sell new losses that are both emergencies and non-emergencies. A well-organized person is a must for this position. Someone who can be available to arrive early and stay late, as needed. On-call is also a must for this position (nights, holidays and weekends) but the on-call rotation does rotate with other office/field personnel. The right candidate will not be afraid of getting dirty and helping dig in the trenches if their team needs them but still has to be able to maintain control of all jobs. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS • Manage contents losses, making sure IICRC S500 & S520 standards are being followed and practiced appropriately, as it relates to contents. This will include a hands-on approach to the job, helping with the pack outs, assessments, cleaning, etc. • Arriving to, assessing and properly estimating/selling new contents jobs. • Bridging the communication between the Mitigation Division and Contents Division. Making sure content opportunities are not being missed by the Mitigation Division. Proactively seeking more information about new water losses and how contents might be able to sell their own piece of the pie. • Developing ways to make pack outs more efficient. • Managing customer frustrations that cannot or should not be handled by the office staff. Many times, customers feel better just talking to a manger. • Following up on estimates to try and secure the work. Our office does this too, but sometimes questions arise about the estimate that is beyond what our office can understand/answer. • Knowing when to say “no” to a project that just doesn’t feel right or normal. We are not desperate for work, and we should not be selling a loss that just doesn’t seem right. Discernment. • Speaking to/meeting adjusters to justify our scope of work. Helping the office justify the work on the invoicing side, if questions arise about the scope. • Continued education through online courses and local classes. Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills. Be able to disseminate that information to your team effectively and efficiently. • Willing to share in the on-call rotation for after-hours phone calls, as well as after-hours content losses. Rotation for phones would be 1 week per month. After-hours contents would be on an as needed basis. • Reaching out to, establishing & nurturing new referral contacts is a must. It is important for ALL of our employees to constantly be looking for new vendors/ways to generate/drive more business. This is how we all continue to grow. This includes other restoration companies (for content pack outs, cleaning, etc.). This also includes multi-family housing units that have a high probability of needing moving services. • Provide a buffer between the field staff, the Field Supervisor and the General Manager. Answering all job-related issues and questions that don’t need to be answered by a General Manager or Field Supervisor OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Clean Background - Clean Driving Record (no more than 2 infractions, no DUI's) - 21+ years of age - Minimum of GED/Diploma - Minimum of 1 IICRC Certification - Lifting 50-75+ lbs every day EXPECTED QUALITIES • Supervisor should be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high integrity, high quality and customer centric activities. • A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. • Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior executives. • Reliable, tolerant, and determined. • Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Well-presented and businesslike. Able to work with others and be a team-player. • Able to communicate and motivate via written media. • Must be adept in the use of computers, iPhone and iPad. This position will need to be able to learn our job management platform in and out. Read and respond to emails. Add job notes, photos, etc. Text job updates & communicate plans of action. And much more. This job is a very “mobile”/on-the-go position. • Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
