Stone Ridge School is looking for a highly motivated individual willing to perform manual labor as well as semi-skilled and skilled tasks in connection with the general maintenance and operation of the school's buildings and grounds. Position responsibilities: The use of a variety of indoor and outdoor hand tools. Knowledge of a variety of light fixtures for re-lamping. Outside landscaping skills such as mowing grass, trimming hedges and borders, landscape planting Knowledge of the proper use of outdoor power equipment such as chain saws, snow blowers, chippers, pressure washers, etc. Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather Snow and ice removal General labor for event set-ups, deliveries and moves, etc. Requires an understanding of the proper use of all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for jobs or tasks Knowledge of the operation of pickup trucks, vans, tractor, truck, utility vehicles, mounted snow plows Knowledge of how to operate a variety of small power tools Some computer proficiency in order to work with the Work Order system and Stone Ridge website. This position is considered a member of our Essential Personnel team. The position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending and stooping; lifting and carrying heavy objects on level surfaces and/or stairways; on ladders; and on scaffolding up to 25 feet in height. This position is classified as an Essential Position for the school and work is sometimes required when the school is closed. Essential skills and experience: Minimum of 3 years cleaning experience in a commercial or residential setting preferred.
