We are looking for an organized individual with leadership/management experience along with 5+ years metal shop experience with TIG and MIG welding, fixture building and metal finishing capabilities to join our team. We are a full-service metal fabrication shop that has been serving the Portland area for over 25 years! Organize and plan work on the shop floor including programing, laser, press brake, and fabricators to meet deadlines. Weld various types of metal to include MIG, TIG and dual shield etc. Manage preventive maintenance, repairs and service of equipment, to include ordering parts. Interview potential employees and facilitate working interviews. Train new employees and coach existing employees. Field measure and install on job site. All other duties as assigned. Essential Job Functions: Must demonstrate a strong ability to motivate and supervise staff, both employees and sub-contractors Ability to detect flaws, errors from a drawing to a raw part or finished part. Interpret blueprints, such as architectural and shop drawings. Must have good driving record and a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check. Working Conditions: Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily. Able to lift and move up to 75 pounds. Able to work overtime. Able to conduct field installation and measurements a plus.
