True World Foods in Morrisville, NC, is a premiere wholesale seafood company specializing in Sushi, and has an immediate opening for a Delivery Driver. This person will drive the delivery trucks and deliver our seafood products to various customers across North Carolina. This person will also be responsible for checking their delivery products for accuracy making sure all products are loaded on their truck correctly and securely.I. Position Summary Drives box truck and delivers products to restaurants daily. Checks products from the warehouse and loads/ unloads truck. II. Essential Functions • Drives delivery trucks to customers and stays overnight when needed. • Participate in the morning processing by packing fresh items, frozen items or dry items for customers as needed. • Checks products on loading dock and assembles them according to customer orders. • Loads and unloads products into and from truck. • Reviews invoices and matches them to ensure that orders are accurate and locates missing products and/or initiate corrections. • Collects checks or cash payments from customers. • Reports product returns or complaints from customers to TWF’s office. • Completes DOT driver logs, pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports, temperature log paper and any other documents required. • Report issues or unusual activities to Head Drivers. • Report issues related to customers to Sales Rep or Sales Manager • Report truck related issues to Dispatcher. • Performs other duties as assigned III. Supervisory Responsibilities • N/A IV. Minimum Qualifications • 1– 3 months of related experience driving delivery trucks or vans • must be at least 21 years of age V. Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge of company operations, delivery routes, company products and customers. • Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle operation • Ability to operate a motor vehicle including trucks and vans • Ability to read maps VI. Working Conditions Equipment • Operates delivery trucks, hand-trucks, cell phones Work Environment • Works irregular work shifts • Daily exposure to refrigerated or frozen process areas, loading docks • Outside weather exposure when visiting customers Physical Effort • Medium physical effort required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
