7 weeks old baby sun conure. I have been hand feeding him from last 4 weeks and he is almost ready to eat on his own. He is nibbling on thin fresh apple slices, carrots and greens and starting to eat Spray Millets now but will continue to take hand feed for next few weeks and get attached to the new parents. This is the ideal age for behavioral training and attachment with new home and family members. You can name whatever you want at this age and he will respond to his name. He could also learn your commands and directions with some patience and time.
