I am a conservatory trained violinist with an active performing career and have been teaching private violin lessons for a decade and a half now. Over that time I have become experienced dealing with students of all ages (8-50+) and levels of proficiency. I have started players from scratch, worked with intermediates, and helped advanced players polish their playing and win auditions as well. My approach to the violin is tailored to each customer, but I always emphasize the steady building of technique, relaxation of the playing muscles, mastery of key repertoire, and if the student desires, audition preparation.
