The Janitor/Handyman will perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the buildings looking perfect. You will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including maintaining green spaces, identifying the need for repairs, responding to clients' maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment. To work well in this role you should have basic maintenance knowledge around building repairs, have some experience cleaning, be skilled and hard-working. Responsibilities: General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors. Cleaning and stock restrooms. Clean up spills with appropriate equipment. Perform minor repairs. Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs. Collect and dispose of trash. Wash delivery vehicles. Routine Lawn Care including mowing, trimming and weed clean up. Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Keep cleaning supplies in stock. Work with a contract cleaning service when necessary. Perform basic tasks including painting and filling crevices, clean facilities and managing maintenance repairs. Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment or appliances/ Regularly check community spaces to identify issues with litter, mechanical failure or breakdowns. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems. Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks. Oversee the irrigation system and trash containers on the company premises. Conduct performance assessments of the company appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, ovens and coffee makers. Provide support and guidance on maintaining equipment. Requirements: Work indoors and work outdoors. Ability to manage your time efficiently. Work well when supervisors and not present. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Solid experience with plumbing and electrical systems. Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment. Extremely organized with good communication skills. Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problems. Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning and other janitorial work. Basic math skills. Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies. A minimum of 2 years' working experience in a similar role. Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
