Classes are offered through a partnership between The Branch and the Community Education Team at Hanover Community Services. Strengthening Families Program Do you want to improve your relationship with your child? The Strengthening Families Program is designed for families with pre–and young adolescents, from age 10 to 14. The program is unique because it is designed for the whole family. Parents meet to learn about adolescent development and share ideas that work, while the youth learn their own set of skills. Then the two groups join together to practice what they’ve learned and have some fun together. Parent topics include using love and limits, making house rules, encouraging good behavior, using consequences, building bridges, and protecting against substance abuse. Teen topics focus on healthy decision making, friendships, handling frustrations, and communication. The youth activities are fun and interactive. This is a FREE program for Hanover families.
