We are a small household moving company based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn short a guy this weekend and next week. Please only reply if you have a valid, active driver's license (even better if you have experience driving box trucks). You also need to show proof of being vaccinated. The guys sit next to each other in the trucks and go in and out of homes, so the vaccination thing is a must. You need to have strength and stamina for this job and be able to carry furniture and boxes up and down flights of stairs all day. We move fast. There's not a lot of leaning against trucks with our company. If you have experience in moving, that's great as well, but not necessarily required. All employees are supplied with disposable masks and gloves for work. Pay starts at $18 an hour plus tips and surcharges paid in cash at the end of the shift. After 2 shifts, if things work out, hourly pay jumps to $20. My employees make good money, and most have been with us for years. We are just looking for somebody for the next week or so for now, but it could lead to a more permanent position for the right candidate. We are supportive of employees in the arts and encourage those who have artistic pursuits in music, acting, writing, visual arts and all other mediums to apply, although being involved in the arts is not a requirement.
