Rogers Group, Inc., is currently seeking motivated EQUIPMENT OPERATORS with asphalt experience to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers in SOUTH CAROLINA. The successful candidates for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to: • Individuals must be dedicated to working safely always without compromise. • Must have experience working in road construction in high traffic areas. • Perform daily equipment, maintenance, and site safety checks, as per company and manufacturer specifications and complete required documentation. • Assist crew members with worksite preparation and other activities as needed. • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of paving equipment. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • At least 2 years’ experience working in the Road Construction Industry in high traffic areas required • Working knowledge of asphalt and related materials. • Operate heavy equipment in the Road Construction industry such as pavers, milling machines, grading equipment, etc. in a safe and appropriate manner. • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. • Complete all assigned tasks with an emphasis on quality and safety to ensure jobs are completed according to the company’s standards. • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary. • Withstand working outside for long periods of time in different weather conditions. • Be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch for long periods of time. • A proactive approach to daily activities, team player, and able to work independently when needed. • Reliable transportation required to and from work.
