Want to learn how to target shoot with your .22 rifle? Join us for a four-week clinic and hone your skills with spinner targets. Thank you for your interest in our .22 Spinners Clinic (spinners refers to steel targets that "spin" or reset when you hit them). This event is geared towards shooters who are just learning target shooting and want to advance their skills. ScheduleFriday, June 4, 5:30-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 11, 5:30-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, June 25, 5:30-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, July 2, 5:30-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-7:30 p.m. Please make sure you can attend all four weeks of the clinic prior to registering. We will be discussing safety and during the first portion of the clinic. We will then go over the best ways to consistently "punch holes" in your target. The first evening will be a basic introduction going over safety, verifying sight-in and then range time on paper targets. The next three scheduled evenings will be on steel rimfire targets with score to measure improvement. You will need to bring your own .22 rifle and ammunition (no hyper-velocity ammunition). Eye and ear protection is available for sale. As we will be shooting on the range, all participants will need to fill out the event waiver. The event is open to all participants ages 17 and up (16 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult). COVID-19 All participants are strongly encouraged to wear a mask at all times except while actively shooting. Per CDC guidelines, it is strongly recommended that those who are not fully vaccinated wear a mask at all times during this event. Social distancing is expected and we will use every other bench to maintain a minimum of six feet of spacing. If you are sick or experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, please stay home. All high touch areas or surfaces will be sanitized prior to the class. Hand sanitizer will be available for participant use. It is the DWR's goal is to keep our staff and the public safe. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are implementing and following all restrictions and recommendations from state and local health officials.
