Hello! I manage a studio in E Williamsburg that is shared by myself and, so far, my network of fellow artists. I want to extend the invitation and bring in new artists to use the space to develop their creative pursuits and meet like-minded thinkers.
The space has a flexible open floor-plan and a deep slop sink, large table/desk space that seats 8. Currently there are also two clothing racks (totals 24x62") and a little storage cabinet. Two out of four walls are windows, and there's lots of indirect sunlight coming from one of them. At roughly 20x20 feet with high ceilings, it can also be used as a photo studio, gallery, pop-up, work space, event space...you name it. It is located on the ground floor and also has a freight elevator available if needed. It is not equipped for music production, but all other uses will be considered.
Priority will be given to folks that have been historically / contemporarily marginalized within the art industry due to race, color, ethnicity, orientation, gender identity, disability, financial ability, background.
(*Approximate* depends on % of usage / further project details)
To give you an idea, artwork space rentals range from ~200-500 per month. Photo studio rentals range from ~35/55 per hour to ~250 per day.
As I mentioned, all uses will be considered, and artists will be scheduled appropriately throughout the week based on their usage requirements and availability (to prevent crowding/conflicts). Available immediately upon approval.
Please feel free to reach out if this sounds at all interesting to you. Please include a short intro of yourself and your creative interests, samples of your work, a portfolio if you have one, a summary of the project(s) you want to work on, and your Instagram handle. Thank you very much!
