ATTIRE: Attire is relaxed and informal. About Good People Dinners: GP Dinners is a community built around meaningful conversations and delicious feasts, a moveable social club for those who value authenticity, a better way to connect with each other. Our dinners are hosted at a wide range of venues in the Bay Area, at Camp Earnest near Yosemite NP and around the country. Each dinner includes a speaker and a chef prepared feast. To learn more about us, please visit our Founding Principles page. Please email us at least 72 hours in advance if you have any dietary restrictions and we'll do our best to accommodate them. OUR SPEAKER: To be announced soon. OUR CHEFS: Together our new friends Marissa Daskalakis and Steve McNulty are Fête Fraîche, a catering and events company based in the Bay Area and now hitting the road to join us up at Camp Earnest. Marissa is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy, and worked at fine dining restaurants and catering companies before founding Fête Fraîche in 2016. Her menus display diverse and inclusive twists and she prides herself on making every meal a celebration! Steve was a hedge fund operator for 15 years before embracing his obsession with food, attending culinary school, and moving to San Francisco. He builds a unique point of view behind each menu, through extensive research, experimentation and a healthy serving of curiosity around the psychology of taste and the subtle variations in our pallets. Don’t forget to ask Steve about umami. In 2018 Steve and Marissa met while teaching cooking classes. Hilarity and inspiration ensued. They shared similar Chicago upbringings and backgrounds in philosophy. Marissa and Steve’s style might be called “contemplative cuisine,” chefs who indulge in real reflection on the ethics of the food industry and the ways in which we all can educate ourselves on our everyday meals. OUR MENU: To be announced soon. Drinks at 6:00, dinner at 7:00. Though a cocktail and some wine will be provided, guests are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to share. Menu update will come soon to help you choose your bottles. We always make sure vegetarian friends will have plenty to eat. Please contact Raman or Karin in advance if you have any other dietary restrictions. If you are wondering how you were included in this invitation, or would like to be removed, please contact [email protected] To sign up for future events, please register at www.gpdinners.com To learn more about the former summer camp we've purchased and refurbished near Yosemite, please visit www.campearnest.com
