ALPHONSO HORNE'S GOTHAM KINGS SUNSET JAZZ ALL AGES Alphonso Horne Rising star trumpeter Alphonso Horne leads his Gotham Kings into SunSet Jazz SunSet Jazz salutes July 4 with this incredible retro ensemble that revisits the music of Louis Armstrong and King Oliver, along with the rags, shouts and stomps that preceded the birth of jazz. An ebullient figure on any bandstand, Alphonso Horne's sterling, penetrating tones and stunning high notes can carry a big band, a la young Louis Armstrong. Expect Alphonso to break out Pops flavored renditions of “Sleepy Time Down South,” “Chinatown” and “Summertime,” as we celebrate the 4th! SunSet Jazz is produced by Spy Boy Productions, presenters of the Exit Zero Jazz Festival. All performances are held on the 10,000 square feet of Green Space on the Emlen Physick Estate in Cape May, NJ. All current State of NJ and CDC health and safety guidelines will be observed in order to keep patrons, musicians and staff safe and healthy. Rain or Shine event.
