FREE event! Mercer County Family Wellness Week. Regional Office of Education #33 in partnership with U of I Extension. ROE33 in partnership with University of Illinois Extension Containers are a great way to spruce up an entryway with flowers or grow tasty vegetables and herbs. Yet, growing in a container is very different than growing in the ground. Come join University of Illinois Extension horticulture educator, Martha Smith, to discuss container gardening tips and techniques. We will learn about soil, maintenance, and growing edible and decorative plants. Plus, participants will get to do a hands-on activity to plant their very own container to take home.
