GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior IT Specialist is an integral role in the Company’s success. This role is tasked with supporting the onsite infrastructure and technology, ensuring a quick response, and troubleshooting for all technical issues. Additionally, this senior role will assist in driving the technology integration strategy required to support the operation today and in the future. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for managing and delivering on all aspects of IT operations and services, assisting in strategic direction and ensuring day-to-day operations. • Ensures that end users workstations are stable and configured with accepted IT best practices. • Stay abreast of end users’ needs and provide correct and accurate assistance and document of problems and provided solutions. • Physical delivery and pickup of equipment in and around the multiple buildings supported. • Software management, deployments, and audits. • Assist users with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines. • Interact with customers and other departments in support roles to understand the processes in both office and manufacturing environments. • Actively follows-up and collaborates with plant operations to determine the root cause of reported issues. • Special projects as directed. EDUCATION & TRAINING • BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred. A combination of work experience and education may be accepted. • Minimum of one-year supervisory experience required. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Network administration is a plus. • Networking equipment including Cisco switches, Watchguard firewalls, routers, and access points. • Experience with Windows operating system Win 10 and Patching of Win10. • Windows Server 2016 – 2019/Active Directory/Patch Management • Microsoft Office 365/Azure/AWS and associated cloud platforms support • VOIP/NVR Systems experience a plus. • Basic troubleshooting of TCP/IP networks SKILLS & ABILITIES • Ability to multi-task and possess strong organizational skills. • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex issues. • Possess current Microsoft certifications is a plus. • Customer-oriented and goal-driven attitude. • Excellent customer service skills: communication skills (both verbal and written). • Attention to detail, dependability, scheduling, & ticket documentation. • Physical Elements: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and to reach with hands and arms occasionally. Ability to talk and to hear continuously. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds periodically. Finger dexterity is required constantly. Vision: Ability to see at close range (20 inches or less), at a distance (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Walk: Ability to sit up to 8 hours. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms frequently. WORKING CONDITIONS WORK ENVIRONMENT General office environment. High energy. Interruptions are frequent. May have the need to go into warehouse and production areas at times. Production area is a wet environment with varying temperatures. HOURS / SHIFTS Day Shift, 8 hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. After hours and weekend support when necessary. SALARY BENEFITS This position is benefit eligible.
