Learn more about the environmental impacts of flooding, rising sea levels, and rainwater management through an interactive tour through Suisun City’s future Resilient Neighborhood. Leave with tools on how you can adapt your home and build your family’s own environmental resilience as part of Suisun City’s Flood Resilience Action Plan. Suisun City’s relationship with water is core to its history and future. Through this hour-long walking tour you will learn the impacts of future flood risks in Suisun City, common threats and ways the city is working to prepare itself for rising sea levels. Tour Details: Registration is required and spots are limited. Our tour starts in the parking lot behind the Civic Center Building and covers approximately 1.5 miles on mostly paved flat surfaces. Free parking is behind the Civic Center Building. It is recommended to wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen and a hat for the duration of the tour. Feel free to carry your own water, we will also have water available at the beginning and end of the tour.
