CBS New York May 19, 2021 A driver was rescued after his car plunged 20 feet down an embankment in Newark on Tuesday. It happened on an entrance ramp to I-78 West off routes 1 and 9. Police say a tractor trailer overturned just after 4 p.m. and struck a Toyota Corolla, sending it off the roadway. Police say the driver of the Toyota, a man in his 50s, had to be extricated from his car.He suffered severe head trauma and multiple lacerations.
