WAUKESHA, WI— Police in Waukesha were called to two separate incidents involving Nerf guns on Tuesday.
In the first incident, police were called to West Sunset Drive for a report of 8 or 9 children shooting Nerf guns and water guns at cars in a parking lot. The kids were gone by the time police arrived, according to the police log.
Also on Tuesday, police were called to Parkton Drive and River Place Boulevard for a report of two cars with several high school males in each car. Two males go out and were only wearing tennis shoes, the log said. The males were shooting Nerf guns at each other, according to the log.
Waukesha North High School reminded its students through a Facebook message of the athletic code of conduct.
"As a reminder, the athletic code of conduct applies year round and off campus. Please make positive choices, activities like nerf wars can be fun until things go too far," the school said. "We work closely with the Waukesha PD to address student behavior in the community."
