POSITION SUMMARY: (Automotive Industry) The Quality Manufacturing Associate is a member of the Quality Department and works hand-in-hand with the Quality Manufacturing Engineers in the department. Quality work teams are responsible for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high-level of quality that consumers expect from our products. This is a “safety sensitive” position; therefore, the employee must adhere to all OSHA and Standard Operating Procedures that have been put into place. If you have some automotive tech or automotive knowledge, this is a preference for this position. JOB FUNCTIONS: • Update/create process documentation/instructions • Prepare training material, conduct training presentations and deploy training to targeted personnel • Develop innovative and easy-to-understand training methodologies and tools • Maintain process instructions and inspection criteria in support of production • Take necessary digital photographs of operations and add to process documentation • Control process documents ensuring accuracy and timeliness is maintained • Obtain prints and other engineering information as required • Function as liaison between Production, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering groups to support both daily and developmental activities • Support production line concerns through corrective action-preventive action system (CAPA) • Participate and/or lead audit activities including 6S and departmental audits • Identify improvement opportunities through analysis of CAPA, warranty, VOC and internal defect data • Support Safety Program • Other duties as required by operational needs QUALIFICATIONS: • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; must be willing to actively pursue Black Belt certification • Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record must be maintained • Proven experience as a Lean Six Sigma practitioner required • Experience in or ability to learn QIT, MAX, GageTrak and FileMaker software systems required • 1-2 years’ experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment; automotive industry preferred • Strong analytical and organizational skills required • Intermediate Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Strong attention to detail, quality focused and willingness to learn • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and organize effectively • Honest, ethical and handles things in a professional manner • Positive attitude, enthusiastic, team player, multi-tasking, driven and results-minded • Bilingual a plus
