This position is in an Automotive Production plant. Fulltime Position M-F 6:00am to 2:30pm with occasional Overtime Full healthcare benefits, Dental, Vision, 401k Steel toe shoe reimbursement Advance Development - Get pay increases every 3 months! Earn PTO, Vacation and Holidays off POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Line Technician is a member of the Chassis Department and is responsible for protecting the exterior and/or stripping the interior of the vehicles for production. Technician work teams are responsible for keeping production flowing, for meeting performance goals and for maintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our products. This is a “safety sensitive” position; therefore, the employee must adhere to all OSHA and Standard Operating Procedures that have been put into place. JOB FUNCTIONS: • Apply plastic to exterior of vehicle to protect before production • Remove Freon from air conditioning • Interior stripping of the vehicle to include: o Sliding door/s o Bumpers o Front and back seats (including cushions) o Dash o All electrical o Door jambs • Tag and sort parts in a timely manner • Use a variety of hand and power tools • Inspect parts and products as necessary, during or after disassembly QUALIFICATIONS: • Basic knowledge of automotive manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields required • Technical or Trade School Degree/Certification a plus • Steel-toe shoes required • Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends based on business needs • Must possess ability to work and cope well under pressure in fast paced environment • Must be detail-oriented and have great organizational skills • Ability to work in a team environment and be flexible to change • Honest, ethical and handles things in a professional manner Helpful Skills: Automotive Techs, automotive disassembly, or strong skills using hand/power/pneumatic tools.
