KIRKLAND, WA — A portion of Lake Street South will remain closed through Thursday as crews complete the assembly of a new tower crane. The crane, standing at 140 Lake Street, will assist in the construction of a new mixed-use building on the block. While the crane is being erected, the street will be fully closed between Kirkland Avenue and 2nd Avenue South, except for emergency access. Here's what drivers should expect: If all goes according to plan, the street will reopen by Friday morning.
