WANTED - Musicians for Mahavishnu Orchestra tribute band. Dream- Performing and Honoring the Music of The Mahavishnu Orchestra, is auditioning new musicians. We perform nearly all the music from The Inner Mounting Flame, Birds Of Fire, Between Nothingness and Eternity and from Visions Of The Emerald Beyond. We will be learning and performing more in the future. We are looking for the following musicians: Guitarist (must play acoustic, electric guitar and own their own guitars and amplifier), Keyboardist (must own their own electronic keyboards and amplifier), Violinist (must own their own electric violin and amplifier) and Bass Guitar (must own their own electric bass and amplifier). Must also have their own transportation of themselves and their equipment to rehearsals and performances. We rehearse in New Orleans, Louisiana in a safe and secure location. We have performed in the New Orleans area and hope to perform nationally and internationally eventually. All musicians must be technically proficient, excellent readers and able to solo and improvise. Classical, Jazz, Blue Grass, Country and Rock players are welcome! We have the sheet music, and recordings of the original music, but serious applicants should make the effort to obtain the music themselves. It can all be found online at Amazon.com. If you take any drugs, are an alcholic, have a "slight" drinking problem, or even like to have a beer or cocktail when you are rehearsing or performing on stage, do not even bother responding. There is also NO SMOKING (of ANYTHING) allowed during rehearsals or performances. This music demands cleanliness and clarity of body, mind and spirit. We are very serious musicians who love this fabulous music and give nothing less than 100% to it and to each other. Also, there is ABSOLUTELY NO ROOM in this band for EGOS or ATTITUDES! If you think you are great, or act like you are great, we have no time for you. However, if you do meet the above prerequisites we would be very happy to have you audition and possibly join us to play and perform this fabulous music!
