Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Bay Shore Crash

BAY SHORE, NY — A motorcyclist was critically injured after a crash in Bay Shore on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk police. Gregory Kostik, 41, of Lindenhurst, was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on the Montauk Highway when he crashed into the back of a 2014 BMW sedan that was making a left turn on Garner Lane at 8:40 p.m., police said. Kostik was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition. The driver of the BMW was not injured. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
