NEW HAVEN, CT — Tuesday night, police were called to Waverly Street near Constance Baker Motley Street after getting a Shotspotter alert of gunfire. Police said they found a 29-year-old New Haven man suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition, New Haven Police Department spokesman Scott Shumway said.
Two hours later, at around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, police were then called to Fairmont Avenue after receiving 911 calls about a person who was shot. Police found a 29-year-old man on the side of a house, suffering from a single gunshot wound.
He too was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. He was listed in stable condition, Shumway said.
