GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County police's next monthly auction for abandoned and seized vehicles will be held on May 22. The auction, which starts at 9 a.m., will be restricted to 100 attendees to ensure social distancing. It will be located at 305 Metropolitan Grove Rd. in Gaithersburg. Those who register for the event are more likely to be admitted. Registered auction-goers who present a ticket by 8:45 a.m. will be prioritized over other individuals. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Interested buyers are encouraged to call or email the police's Vehicle Recovery Section (VRS) to see if the capacity limit has been met.
