The South Bend-Elkhart Audubon Society is pleased to announce a new and unique fundraising event: Yoga at the Sanctuary!
Join us for Yoga at the Sanctuary to breathe, stretch and relax in nature. We are offering a gentle, yet energizing 60-minute Hatha-based alignment yoga practice led by Education Chair, Melissa Gunter. Melissa is a certified Hatha-based alignment yoga instructor and registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200. The class is appropriate for all levels. Participants must be 18 or older.
This yoga class will take place on June 13th from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A $15 minimum donation is requested to attend the class. Please pay cash or check on the day of the class. All proceeds go to supporting the South Bend-Elkhart Audubon Society.
Any SBEAS Members with a key can come to the Sanctuary at any time before class. The gate will be open at 2:40 pm for anyone without a key. After class, all students will be able to walk around the Sanctuary if desired.
Please bring a yoga mat as well as any other props you might want. As this is an outdoor event, masks are not required, but social distancing will be enforced for the duration of the class.
In the event of inclement weather, the class will be cancelled/rescheduled, and registered participants will be contacted.
All participants must pre-register. All participants must sign a waiver, which will be available to sign on the day of the event at the Sanctuary.
The Pandemic has caused SBEAS to cancel many of its traditional fundraising events throughout the year. All funds raised for this yoga class will go directly to South Bend-Elkhart Audubon Society.
