Landscaper Job Description Responsibilities • Waters plants as needed or directed by manager/lead, mops up overflows and ensure proper signage is out for hoses and wet sidewalks • Deadheads plants as need to remove browned foliage • Full color switch out of plants • Moving of pots, woks and other containers • Install and take down of holiday lighting • Follows all safety, hazardous materials and landscape/grounds keeping policies and procedures • Follows all biohazardous materials and equipment policies and procedure • Follows all composting and recycling procedures • Inform manager of all inventory needs • Responsible for workplace safety and following all OSHA / Able safety guidelines • Requires knowledge in the care and use of gas power lift’s, mowers, edger’s, chain saws and other landscape/grounds keeping tools • Irrigation repairs • Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications • Must wear all prescribed PPE while working • Ability to understand and complete work assignments both independently and as part of a team • Working knowledge in landscape/grounds keeping services. • Working verbal and written communication skills in the English language, including active listening, flexibility, critical thinking, and the ability to multi-task and ensure effective time management. • Working decision making and reasoning skills • Strong horticultural background. Interior and exterior plant ID and care knowledge • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time in all different weather conditions. • Required lifting up to 50lbs individually & as a team up to 100lbs • Able to frequently bend/crouch • Able to frequently climb stairs/hillsides and walk on uneven ground and plant landscapes • Must join the local union
