3 Year Old Outdoor Cat Needs a New Home

Hey CL, I'm looking to re-home a 3 year old cat named Buddy. Buddy is a stray that showed up in our yard about 2 years ago and adopted our family as our diligent and loyal yard protector. He has been neutered and has all his shots. He's a gentle and loving little guy once he gets to know you however, he's been an outdoor cat due to a family member being allergic to cats. The reason we are looking for a new home for him is that recently he's been getting into fights with a neighboring cat and coming home with severe bites and scratches. We hoped getting him neutered would help but it hasn’t and we’re afraid that he’s going to get seriously injured at some point. He needs a stable indoor home. Buddy is not feral and quite friendly, however, he's spent his entire life outdoors and as such can be very skittish around people he doesn’t know. Buddy will require a patient cat owner who has prior experience with rescue cats. No exceptions. We have food, cat carrier, bed and toys that will be provided to whoever adopts him. Potential adopters will be pre-screened to make sure it's a good fit. No re-homing fees, just needs a good home with someone who can provide him a better situation and opportunity to thrive.
